Somatic
comes from the Greek word soma meaning body, body wisdom or “the body as perceived from within.” Somatic practices support the integration of your cognitive and embodied experience.

Somatic coaching is an opportunity to pay attention to your whole self by experiencing being a body, not just inhabiting one. It is about tuning into your body in this moment and all it offers you, in this space of possible change, shifts, or imagining new ways of being. It’s about deepening your awareness of yourself and everything you are in relationship with.

Paying attention to the signals your body is sending to your brain can be so helpful when navigating personal and professional relationships—with family, colleagues, friends, clients, and social justice collaborators. You can be present to anyone in the room, to the ecology and environment, and notice how your nervous system responds (fight, flight, freeze, fawn).

Being in touch with the depth of your own experience, supports you to be more present to yourself, other people, your communities and the planet. Together, we will learn how to be present to the unfolding of life from an embodied place.
