    50-minute sessions, virtual or in-person in Durham or Hillsborough, North Carolina. The standard cost is $125 per session. I offer a sliding scale from $80-$150 to make it more accessible and trust you to discern what feels possible for you.

FAQs

  • Therapy is an important ally in healing trauma; somatic coaching can support you accessing what is in your body and sometimes stored in your tissues or muscles. Often therapists and somatic coaches work together to help a client access their healing or work towards their intentional goals. While therapy can focus on the past to offer healing in the present, somatic coaching often begins in the present and looks to the future. You get clear about what you want to discuss, work through, change or explore and then we tune in to all the ways your body is responding and communicating with your brain.

  • The benefits of paying attention to your whole body experience can support you in all aspects of your life. Here are a few ways.

    Through somatic coaching we tune in to your present experience as a practice of learning how you:

    ●      Feel, sense and know in each moment

    ●      Regulate your nervous system

    ●      Resource yourself when you feel like you don’t have anything left to give 

    ●      Experience joy and gratitude as a pathway to cultivate a love of life

    ●      Know you want to make a change

    ●      Build resilience on biological level

    ●      Connect and integrate a sense of belonging or home in your body

    ●      Get triggered (or other conditioned tendencies) and have choice for how you respond or change behavior patterns

  • Each session we begin by getting clear about what you want to focus on and what will be most helpful for our time together. I can offer a practice to help you get more into your body-mind as you discern what is emerging. Then I listen and hold space for where you want to go. I might offer some somatic practices or tools, and you always have a choice of whether you want to try one or not. Near the end we will spend time integrating what you experienced and anything that you are taking with you from the session (intentions, movements, ideas).
